Fresher's Week and Punting

    So all of the Churchill scholars are now here, and thus begins the adventures of all 14 of us as a group. Last night we went on a "Hostel Crawl," hosted by the senior graduate students, we participated in many merry-making games (most involving copious amounts of alcohol). Today we went punting as a group, which is basically a bunch of long boats propelled by long rods! The adventures have begun!

Grantchester Meadows

   I went on a walk today across town to some green areas!  The park was quite lovely, and I even passed within a couple of feet of some cows that were wandering on the path... feels a bit like Northfield again : )

Oxford Road!

   I get such a kick out of there being an Oxford road in this town... to be fair, it is fairly tucked away and I only saw it while getting lost on the way to a primary school for dance, but I am a bit surprised anyone here lives on it! Speaking of dance... boy are people good here. I feel like I am basically starting all over with it again, not that its not good for me : )

Wandering the town in search of dinner!

   A friend from Carleton is here in Cambridge working in a biology lab, and last night we went out in search of food. Getting lost resulted in finding a number of cool spots, and these pictures are some of what we found!

Dance, Dance, Dance

    So, today I went to Wolfson college for a social dance and I took photos on the way! Last night we went to a salsa dance bar thing, which was fun as well! So hopefully now dancing will become a weekly occurrence!

A walk from work to the grocery store

    These are pictures that I took on my walk from work to the grocery store today. Its an approximately 15 minute walk on the way there, and a few minutes longer on the way back due to being tired / having a bunch to carry. I started to ponder about what winter would be like, and then stopped because it seemed too scary : )
